For now, the Virtus comes with the top-of-the-line 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system whereas Skoda are forced to offer the Slavia with a smaller 8.0-inch infotainment system until supply chain issues are sorted. However, both the Slavia and Virtus do not get a subwoofer for now. Book Now The Skoda Slavia With Exclusive Offers. T&C Apply.
Skoda sees Superb as the strong contestant in the segment. The Passat is a loser in terms of efficiency, but the Volkswagen still sold many vehicles. Buyers often look at the length and other dimensions first. The wheelbase is 2841 mm / 112 in. for Volkswagen Passat vs. 2788 mm / 110 in. for Skoda Superb. Turn your attention under the hood.
My vote goes to Vento DSG. though Rapid is nearly the same car, i just prefer the Vento's styling over Rapid, and the perception that VW service is better than Skoda. Now if Skoda had brought in the new design language as seen on the European Rapid, things would be at par or in favour of the Rapid.
What are they like to drive? The 1.5 150 engine in the Octavia has an extra 20bhp over the similar 1.5 130 unit in the Golf, and its better pull from low revs can certainly be felt on the road
Chassis, engine, gearbox etc is the same. Skoda/Seat interiors are a little harder plastics, and may have previous gen infotainment systems. Vw/Audi gets soft touch on the dash. Seat is supposed to be the sporty one, Skoda is the cheap/practical one, VW is the boring one, and Audi is the premium one.
Backseat better for 2 healthy adults and a child, rather than 3 adults; Lovely 1.5L TSI is only available on the top variant. Should have been there in the mid-trim too; Interior quality doesn’t feel up to old-school VW standards. Body-coloured interior highlights are polarising too
To this point: If one is punctual in getting service and has access to a reliable after sales service then VW cars are the most reliable, cheap and trouble free. My 1.65 Lakh km run Polo was cheaper to maintain than my 80k run Hyundai Accent. The ownership has become been cheaper for Virtus under India 2.0 A 12 years VW owner: 2 Polos and a Virtus.
Skoda Slavia price is Rs. 11.53 Lakh and Volkswagen Virtus price is Rs. 11.56 Lakh. Hence Skoda Slavia is the cheapest amongst these cars. Q: Which car between Slavia and Virtus is better in terms
The cheapest 108 is £8,245 to the Up’s £8,635. From there, it’s down to personal preference as realistically it’s a close-run thing. VW promises the strong residuals, Peugeot higher equipment levels. Peugeot has the better economy, by a tad, but the Up falls into lower insurance groups.
Skoda Kodiaq vRS with Tour de France livery. The thing is, though, petrol engines are quite a bit lighter than diesel, so the unleaded-fueled vRS is a handy 60kg lighter than its predecessor. The
